You’ve Prayed, Read the Bible, And You Still Feel…Nothing
Consider that this is exactly where you should be
You’ve just finished skimming a profound Scripture.
You’ve just woken up and forgotten your prayers.
You no longer say your grace before meals.
You feel nothing when you hear a bible teacher drive home Jesus’ words. You watch others around you bubbling up with Christian joy, but when you come home and open your Word- you feel nothing. They are words. Beautiful words. Ancient words.
They just aren’t hitting you hard like they used to.
You prayed with fervor back in the days. You were called up to say grace at Thanksgiving dinners. You prayed before you went to bed.
Not anymore.
I’ve been there.
Nothing hurts worse than feeling nothing in your spirit.
Consider this: Do you realize that this is the perfect position to be in?
Hear me out.
Before, you saturated yourself in bible reading. Fellowshipping. Praying. You were on “Go-mode”, just go-go-go. Enjoying all the feels of joy deposited inside of you. Praying and singing to God.
