Yeah, I don’t buy into the Black and Brown coalition, never truly did. A couple of years ago at my old job, the African American women wore beautiful African inspired dresses during Black History month and the Cuban that worked back there and other Hispanic women called our hair “ cotton ball q tips” and said “ What are yall doing wearing African stuff and yall aren’t from there”

Mind you this did not happen in my face, this was based off notes passed to someone and my husband found out and told me. I was not one of the women wearing the dresses but you better believe I would have had a few choice words with those Jealous off white ladies.
