Why’d You Ask That Question, Tichina Arnold?
Black women’s response to Tichina Arnold’s question on Twitter, shows that we are finally paying attention

We all know her as Pam from the super popular 90s show, Martin. I loved her role because she was sassy, educated and of course a loyal friend to Gina.
These days though, many of us look back at the show Martin and see that the colorist jokes he made on Tichina Arnold’s character, were distasteful and unfortunately, it strongly reinforced stereotypes about darker skinned Black women.
Yet here’s the tweet that sparked the flame a few days ago…
Maybe 10 or so years ago, Black women would have responded with a laundry list of how we can do XYZ to make a man “feel” like a man. But in 2022 the responses were delightfully different.
