Especially since it is the truest statement ever made

Nearly a full two weeks ago, I wrote an article about majoring in Social Science, highlighting the benefits and pitfalls of such a degree. Now, I want to explore why people say “college is not for everyone”

Are these bitter people without a degree?

Are these people holding a terrible degree that isn’t marketable?

Not really.

I believe they are just observant of the economy and are influenced by those in their own social circles. They see the person with the Master's degree in Philosophy doing zilch with it. Perhaps their family member majored in humanities and is doing zilch with it.

A business degree and doing zilch with it, or customer service (which is honorable by the way).

Maybe, what they thought they wanted to do with the degree has changed.

The long road after high school

I hated getting asked what I wanted to be when I grow up.

I was asked when I was ten years old.

I was asked at sixteen.

Then at 18.
