Whew! This article is a quagmire full of...stuff.
I'd like to first say that I agree that the American Spirit of Rugged Individualism has poisoned the minds of most Americans(men and women). We must remember that it was the men, the patriarchs, who established the "American Dream".
During that time women were good for two things: cooking and sex. During those times women could not even initiate a divorce if her man was cheating on her or abusing her.
Yes, women have become awakened to realizing they are more than breeding farms. God gave each human- male and female, a gift or talent. Many women were barred from this. Some even had to change their names to masculine names just to sell paintings or writings!
Now, I do agree with ONE thing the men mentioned: We women DO tend to be fickle minded and argumentative. We do not know which to choose. Arguably, this could be due to the hogwash of feminism and a damning patriarchal society producing these femmes who are sharp. Either way, men must take their pick of what they want as well: gold diggers or independent women? Men lament about both and as women we are confused...does he want a woman who is broke and destitute, relying solely on him? Or someone who loves you but also is a helpmate.
Good article though.
