What Will We Be Doing When Tik Tok Shuts Down?
Um, the same thing I’ve been doing — reading!
In a private Facebook group, someone asked the question: “So what will y’all do when Tik Tok shuts down?” This question is on the heels of Tik Tok having to shut down by January 19th — possibly.
The responses were interesting.
“I will go to YouTube.”
“I never downloaded the app anyway.”
“Oops! I never saved all my videos!”
“I’m going to do what I’ve been doing- read!”
For those of us in the bookish community, we are shrugging our shoulders with an air of “I don’t care” type of energy. We are going to do what we’ve been doing: read.
My husband and I been let go of our Tik Tok app early last year. There were just too many unanswered questions about the app(or any app for that matter). Secondly, a lot of our videos were muted even though we used our own music or music that was legally free for commercial use. It was just way too much.
Some members of the Facebook group said they will stick with Facebook or join the BookTube community on YouTube. One person even said proudly she will go back to scrapbooking and journaling.
