First, let me commend “Vance” for taking the high road and responding with a cool smiley. Personally, I would have agreed to an ice cream date. I love ice cream and it would have been the perfect FIRST date. It’s hot out, it’s sweet — no problem.

However, with social media now dictating what a “true” date should look like, some women are having second thoughts about a suitable date. The un-named woman has a right to refuse and have her own boundaries and standards, so kudos to her for being honest.
