‘Wakanda Forever’ Bludgeoned My Heart

Somehow, I knew it would be this way. I knew that ‘Wakanda Forever’ would make me feel this way and earn a thousand thumbs up, but the way the movie worked me…was magnificent.

First off, my husband and I had the “pleasure” of sitting next to a small group of beer drinkers in the theater(nothing wrong with that), who were animated and said really interesting things throughout the movie and most we agreed with.

When Okoye wore those spandex tight tights, the men next to me nearly howled. My husband and I laughed because it was so obvious they were sloshed.

I did like the gear the women wore though.

When Lupita N’yongo showed up in a gorgeous pink dress, all I heard was,

“Oh. My. God. Is she gorgeous.”

Several more times when she appears, these guys whistled and gasped at her obvious beauty.

I digress.

The film itself brought on a torrid of emotions: I was teary eyed. I was angered. I was confused. I was enlightened. I was struck dumb and awed. The cinematography was on point. The actors were definitely on point. The action scenes…
