Very thoughtful article and I subscribed to you. I was on Wattpad before and I noticed that those who were already on there and had popularity, totally outshined me. I had some readers but after a while it was radio silence. I can blame it on my writings and I am no longer a teen so my teen stories were good but not great. However, I still compare Wattpad to Etsy.: If you had not gained traction at this point, it'll take brutally hard work.

I do like that Amazon and other apps are creating spaces for those of us who enjoy writing fiction though. I'll give the new ones a try.
