Today’s Generation Are Not About That 60 Hour Work Week Life

This does not make them lazy, just a bit wiser and more efficient

After reading the viral story of a worker who would rather work at a McDonalds than their current $11/hr job, it made me think back on all the jobs I had growing up until now, and how it’s the little things, the nuances on the job, that makes us so disgruntled.

Work is a mismatch for today’s needs

Today’s employment is not matching the needs of the people. There are people going around saying that this new generation is lazy or why aren’t we working 60+ hours per week?

When I observe those who worked long hours from back in the day, do you know what I see?

People who go to the grave as soon as they retire(I’ll discuss this more in another article), or they are very sick from working in dangerous places for years and not being treated fairly.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard that a person who was about to retire or have retired, weeks or just a few months later, they are dead.

Literally.

A 9–5 job is an option not a necessity
