We are all programed one way or another. From what we decide to be in life to what we are supposed to find attractive.
A favorite movie of mine is Shallow Hal starring Gwenyth Paltrow and Jack Black. Jack Black plays as Hal, an unattractive male who gives glory and praises to all women skinny and gorgeous. Gwyneth Paltrow plays as the morbidly obese Rosemary. One day, Hal is hypnotized to see women as who they are based on what’s inside, so in actuality the women may be unattractive physically, but Hal is now brainwashed to see them as gorgeous.
It’s a great film, please watch it if you haven’t.
However, my goal here isn’t to discuss the film plot. I only want to focus on one scene.
In this particular scene, Tony Robbins, playing as the hypnotist, has a discussion with Shallow Hal’s best friend Mauricio. Mauricio is also unattractive, but he hates that Hal is seeing Rosemary. Rosemary to Hal’s eyes is a blonde bombshell, but Mauricio sees his friend sinking fast being with an overweight woman.
