To all of my responders: Thank you for your thoughts. However, I think there is a crucial piece missing to this conversation. My saying that "I have no hope in the Black race" is being taken as if I feel we are hopeless or that I hate my race.

On the contrary, what I am saying is in the here and NOW I have no hope for us. If I see the tides changing on a tremendous scale, then perhaps. Until then, the only time we see true power of Blackness is in film. As I mentioned in my article as well, to those who do have hope and are doing things for the community, I salute you.
