One thing about trying authors I’ve never read before is I never know what I am about to get into and let me just say this. I was blown away and at other times I was confused with the bizarreness of it all.
Alright, here goes.
The Old Thot Next Door
Let’s start with the best-selling author Quan Millz’s novel, The Old Thot Next Door. I stumbled upon this book on Facebook last week.
The cover featured a black woman, who definitely looked like a senior citizen but her body was like that of a 25 year old. I remember clearly stating I am laying off the “hood books”, but curiosity got the best of me and what I experienced was out of control laughter, hurt, and confusion.
The book gets 5 stars, but what it put me through with this woman’s shenanigans and even the deeper themes of malpractice, treatment of the elderly and mental stability was explored mercilessly.
