You read that right.

According to research, 47% of the time, we miss what’s happening right in front of us. We are not being mindful. We are not living in the present.

In today’s political and bad economic climate, I can pretty much guess what is on your mind.

This year’s election.

Bills.

Women’s rights.

Lots of anxiety is piled on top of regrets.

Mind wandering is linked to greater unhappiness.

For example, if I am having a conversation with you, I guarantee I will only be listening to 30% of what you’re saying (head nods and all that) because I am thinking of how my life as a woman will change under neo patriarchy.

I’m thinking of the mountain of bills piling on top of me.

I’m thinking of switching careers and living a new lifestyle like those content creators who can wake up, drink matcha tea, and practice yoga instead of clocking in somewhere.

To get our focus and to grab happiness, we have to do something that hits the sweet spot…
