I hate this movie…I’m sorry Tyler Perry, but not sorry
I say this with all due respect to those who like the movie. I really, REALLY do not like Acrimony. I think I watched it for the first time over a year ago and when I say I hate the movie — I don’t mean a dislike for the amazing actors and actresses, I just mean the discussion it breeds. Everyone is right, but everyone is wrong about it.
Acrimony is a 2018 American psychological thriller film written, produced and directed by Tyler Perry. It follows a loyal wife(played by Taraji)who decides to take revenge on her ex-husband who has wronged her in life. ~From Wikipedia
Acrimony means bitterness or “ill feeling” according to a quick internet search. The movie is broken down into 4 different stages of Taraji and her husband’s relationship (Sunder, Bewail, Deranged, Inexorable).
In the beginning of the movie, Taraji calls him, “the devil” who ruined her life. He cheats on her at the beginning of their new relationship, but eventually they make up, get married, and she spends her life savings on him so he can build his dream of a rechargeable battery.
