This is because Black men as a whole have been desired AS THEY ARE. Mostly by black women. No matter how many times black men have dogged our looks, you will find that so many black women will support black men and not care if the men have thick, course hair and big lips as we do. I do see black men still cutting their own hair or "waving" it up, wearing colored contacts too.--knowing full well they do not have wavy soft hair or blue eyes.

As I said before Black women have unique features, but given your previous comment I see why black women would feel the need to "smooth over" their lovely God given features for something more...muted.
