This entire post is worthy of sooooo many claps. I talk about this a lot with family. Anyway, I have the book, "Stolen Legacy" by George G.M. James, it explores the legacy of Africans in Egypt concerning our knowledge of maths and sciences and how it was closely linked to our own spirituality during that time and much of our knowledge(books) were stolen even when we willingly taught other ethnicities in those ancient times.
I agree that we should continue on the path of education: history, science, technology while also being active, not passive. This does not have to mean violence, it can simply mean not waiting for the heavens and changing our communities now.
