The Viral Cheesecake Factory Date Faux Pas Was Fake
Responses to the video reeked of misogynoir though
Last week, a video of a Black woman refusing to be taken to the Cheesecake Factory restaurant, went viral. The woman had long braids, purple lipstick and a green skirt/dress. While looking at the camera, she says she refuses to go on a first date to the cheesecake factory.
The guy sitting next to her seemed to be of Hispanic origin and he gave polite, humble answers and asked “Why is this restaurant a problem?”
The woman replied:
“This is a chain restaurant. A woman should be cared for and cherished.”
What got me upset about the video, is her high and mighty attitude and disdain for going to such a delightful place like the Cheesecake Factory. I personally love the Cheesecake Factory! Great food there! I mean, I don’t know how it is now since it’s been several years ago when I ate there.
However, what turned people off(and rightfully so), was her complete and utter refusal to be on a date with a guy taking her out. This video is similar to the Ice Cream date woman who did not even want to go out for a simple ice cream on a hot day.
Cue the bad comments.
