It’s come down to this.

The reparations talk.

I’ve waited quite some time before writing about it because it is a heavy topic and unfortunately but not surprisingly, Black folks are all over the place with how they feel about it. In other words, even when it comes to something as important as reparations, Blacks cannot agree.

What are reparations and who has received it so far?

Reparations is the making of amends for a wrong one has done, by paying money to or otherwise helping those who have been wronged: For example, a court orders an offender to financially compensate the family members of the one he/she murdered.

Now, that we have a working definition of what it is. Who, so far in this world has benefited from reparations, or who has this country made amends to in the form of money?

Japanese Americans received reparations for their internment endured in America. They were treated harshly and unfairly, and it was the U.S. government that did this to them. Therefore, yes, reparations would be granted.
