The New Testament Is Actually More Burdensome Than The Old Testament

It's all about perspective and honesty

There’s a running joke that the Old Testament puts “foot to tailbone” more so than the New Testament.

Wars.

Stone tablets.

The sacrifice of animals,

600+ laws to keep to not be punished.

Let’s not forget the flood God sent to wipe out the human race (except for Noah and his family).

After further ruminating on Scripture and comparing it to what I see today, The New Testament is even more severe than the old.

Chilling Scriptures to consider

I have been reading the bible since I was 15 years old and there are some parts I probably have not read thoroughly to this day. One thing I do know is that I viewed the Pentateuch (first five books of the bible) as honesty, brutal and very archaic.

There’s a bone chilling, confusing Scripture that says,

Blessed shall he be who takes your little ones and dashes them against the rock!

Psalm 137:9

Excuse me?!
