The Keke Palmer and Baby Daddy Darius Situation Is About Respect Vs. Disrespect
But who disrespected whom?
I feel I must say something because the celebrity world is setting a foundation for our upcoming youth. That foundation is rife with ratchetry and a misunderstanding of what a relationship should be as it pertains to utilizing social media.
First, let’s address the elephant in the room that was actually noticed.
Keke Palmer has gotten great curves from giving birth, and Darius, so gleeful, posted videos of her shaking her booty for the camera and he did not mind posting her “new body” for the world to see. He was happy with his woman. Keke has always been pretty, but it was great that the father of her child admired her. So…kudos.
Secondly, posting pics of your partner, of your baby, and of your outings is nothing new. It is okay, as long as boundaries aren’t crossed.
The other night, some boundaries were crossed.
If you do not know, Usher serenaded Keke Palmer as she stood wearing close to nothing. It was a gorgeous “close to nothing” evening wear that showed off her body, but it was “close to nothing” nonetheless. Usher, like he does with any audience member, sang to her, took her hand and let her sing a line with him.
