The difference is that for Black women to get attraction/jobs, etc, we've always had to "style our hair" like other cutlures. I mean, we don't have to because we are to love our own hair anyway which has advantages, but white women were NEVER EVER stigmatized for what grew out of their scalp, so they can wear it natural or however. When white women wear their hair natural, it's whatever, when she puts on a "Black girl: style, it's in vogue.

When a Black woman wear her natural hair, it's difficult/bad/ghetto. When she straightens her hair, it's cute or "she's so called trying to be white"

We can't win for losing.
