That Horrific Moment When You Realize All Lives Do Not Matter
Ukraine’s suffering has become Black people’s nightmare
At this point, if you feel that racism does not exist or that All Lives Matter, you, my friend, are out of touch with reality.
I’m no political buff at all, but I do care about what happens to Blacks the world over.
The other day, I watched on social media as Blacks were pushed off of trains- particularly Black women and children, which is frightening enough. Then today I see news reports of Black college students being thrown off trains and not allowed on other public transportation, pressing them further into dangerous areas.
Something splintered in my soul when I saw image after image of my precious Black skinned people being mistreated as if they were less than human. As usual we are caught in the middle of The War of the Whites and are just casualties that will stain history with very little thought.
If that wasn’t bad enough, Ukraine’s Deputy Chief Prosecutor recently stated that it saddens him to see blonde hair and blue eyed people getting killed. He was reportedly emotional about this.
Implying that anyone not blonde haired and blue eyed are…not as treasured.
