Thank you so much for writing this! I’ve been on both sides of the spectrum: reviewer and Indie Writer. I still publish but as a reviewer, I always made it a goal to give a great rating. Only a few books got 3 stars from me but overall if I’m reading a book in a category I like anyway, I give 4 or 5 stars and provide reasons.

As a writer/ published author, I appreciate articles like this because we all want our stories to be heard and with negative reviews, it can kill a dream.
