Thank you for your honest response and for reading, Lill!

I truly am happy that you find the most positive ways to describe brown women because although I hear nice things about us from time to time….Young brown girls and women should realize they are beautiful and feminine, just like the women of other races. This divide is something that is wicked and has been around for a while.

The last part of your comment is interesting though.

Ever hear the saying, “no one hates more than family?”( or something like that).

If we indeed are all from Africa, it explains the constant bickering and harm between the races— -like a dysfunctional family. Perhaps some non-black women do feel it is a call home and they compare themselves an awful lot to Black women. They may say they don’t, but even while out with my husband, most white women will give me the evil eye and I’ve done nothing to them but exist!

However, to be fair, my friends who are white and non Black who are also in my family, do not behave like this.

Thank you again for your response!
