It’s interesting though. I just saw a video where a white woman made a joke about a black woman’s hair and followed up with: “I don’t owe black women a compliment or to say nice things just because she is black! It’s my opinion!”

This is what black women hear all day from EVERYONE. So when I see a young black girl playing in a role from a popular book, I can careless what haters say.
