I actually agree that race is also a social construct. Carl Linnaeus, the “ father of taxonomy”, introduced this race and classification stuff.

Have you seen School Ties?(I believe that’s the movie title). In it , Brenden Fraser plays a white boy who is actually Jewish. During this era, Jews were seriously mistreated and discriminated against. However, he did not experience oppression until he actually TOLD people he was “ Jewish”.

I always thought that film was interesting and downright spooky because as blacks, oppression is upon us like a hurricane before we say WHO we are; but someone with white skin can hide their affiliations.
