Wow! That is crazy how people can just kick someone out whenever they want(in some cases I get it), but to go through that and be in a situation where you have to be financially independent no matter what? It's ideal but yes, it is tough.

Right now my husband and I share bills equally but during those lean times back int the day, he was footing most of the bills- my substitute job was crap pay.

The good thing about being a woman a today, as you pointed out, is that we do have options now.
