To all my subscribers, you are what keeps me going and keep me strong as I delve into dangerous territories of topics and try to come up with ways to engage with all of you. Last year I tipped some Medium writers because, heck, I wanted to give back.
Now, I truly want to give back by offering you encouragement and motivation in your darkest hour. Even if you are in your brightest hour, someone you know, may need to hear this.
First, be content where you are.
I don’t mean for you to accept mediocrity or to remain in soulless, dry toxic places. What I mean is to enjoy your journey. Right now, you may be on a spiritual journey, or are receiving counseling, or you are still a temp through an agency hoping to get that permanent position.
Be content — happy where you are. I don’t care how many so called “happy” people you see on social media, moving up, getting new homes, cars, etc. Don’t you dare compare yourself to them. When it’s your time, it will be your time and no one else’s.
Second, there is a light that shines.
In the coloring page above this piece, I purposely made the sky gray/black and the clouds blacker.
There is just something poetic about how the light can seem alien to us today. That tiny glow and golden shine…
