Should You Invest In a Creative Writing Course?
Listen to Coach Calhoun from the movie ‘Grease’ and you’ll never go wrong
There is a scene in the movie Grease that I absolutely love.
Coach Calhoun tells Danny that there are sports that involves no contact. He says this because Danny had trouble maintaining his control while trying out for Basketball, Football, etc.
So Danny says, “Like what?”
Coach Calhoun says, “Track.”
Danny responds: “You mean. Like running?”
Coach Calhoun then says, “Not just running! Something that needs endurance! Something that needs stamina! Like long distance running. Cross- country running.”
The same can be said for writing.

I am a firm believer that we all can write, but if you want to know if you should invest in a writing course or writing degree, or even if you should buy up all those How-To Write books, you should ask yourself, “What kind of writer am I trying to be?”
