Should Poetry Always Rhyme?
Poetry is a literary art that dances.

A fellow swellcaster asked the question, “How should poetry be presented?” I responded, and another person responded as well. The good thing is that it was poets who responded to give clearer insight and definitions on what poetry is/can be.
I responded that poetry does not have to rhyme all the time. We come from a “Nursery Rhyme Nation” where there should be a rhyme at the end of every conversation…and verse. It doesn’t have to be that way, but I understand why.
As humans we love the lyric and dance of music. It’s called mnemonics, and it has always existed to “improve” human memory.
