Salute To The New Black Man
He is unstoppable, makes up his own mind, and not afraid of his reflection
Father’s Day is coming up and I want to give a warm shoutout to ALL men, first and foremost who are doing what they should be doing anyway. My father is no longer a part of this world, but to me he will always be the best dad and represented what true manhood is all about.
Having said that, I understand there has been digital bloodshed all over social media. A battle between Black women and the Black men we give birth too. It seems as if we are all on a sinking ship and clamoring for those life rafters — hoping a savior will help us, but I can say WE have the power to help us and I salute the Black men who are handling business at home, on their jobs, and in their social life.
The new black man is unstoppable
Meaning, he knows his worth.
He recognizes that just like the Black woman, he was dealt a sad hand at life from birth, but he doesn’t make excuses. There are resources, guiding hands that can help. The new Black man does not mind taking a handout if it’s temporary to help him get on his feet.
He is not totally dependent on others but he knows when he needs help and does not have to harm, drug, gaslight or kill others to…
