Fallen from the Almond tree —

Atomic habits create HUGE results.

Instead of totally revamping my diet after my Type II Diabetes diagnosis, I decided to start with my snacks. I changed many things of course, but I REALLY like to snack, so I needed something different, zero to no carbs, and straight up natural.

We already had peanuts and I am a huge fan of Harvest Snaps’ baked lentil snacks. I have been enjoying those for months, actually.

The food I am talking about is the Almond.

After breakfast and right before dinner, I grab the Blue Diamond’s bag of whole natural almonds and just get to work on them. Like popcorn, I pop them into my mouth as I write or watch a show. I was unprepared for the earthy, rough shell and nutty sweetness that follows.

Addicting.

It’s like how I tried buttermilk waffles for the first time without the syrup. I could taste the ingredients — all of them! Yes, it is a prepackaged food from the frozen section, but it delivered realness to my tastebuds without being drowned in…
