Should I continue to support her?

I’ve been reading this woman’s work since 2008, and recently I reviewed her novel which did not please me at all — but I bought another one of her books last year because she is such a delightful storyteller and prolific writer.

This evening, I opened up my email from her. It was a newsletter sent out to fans that I get on a monthly basis from her, and as I was reading it, a few words stuck out to me:

mRna

Vaccinated versus unvaccinated

The unvaccinated is why the strain is mutating

I’ll stop right there.

I think she went too far, but because of her freedom of expression, she decides to put her opinions in a newsletter that I did not appreciate.

Whether someone is vaccinated or not is a new reality we are in due to a disease we did not create. I refuse to add any more “isms” to the racism, sexism, classism we already have in this world.

In one breath the author says “freedom of expression” and “host bodies” in relation to the unvax’d — but later on she simmers down and says basically if you are unvaccinated please speak with your doctor and consider joining
