Now This Was a Fantasy Anime Worth Watching

Snow White With the Red Hair is a 10/10

This is not a Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs story.

It is about a young pharmacist named Shirayuki with beautiful, bright red hair- hair as red as an apple and she is sought after by an uncouth prince that wants her as a concubine.

She cuts a long length of her gorgeous hair and flees her kingdom for another neighboring country. On her travels, she happens to meet Prince Zen(beautiful and apt name) who falls head over heels for her.

So begins Shirayuki’s story.

Let’s talk about the artwork

Most animes have gorgeous scenery that just makes your heart soar and go “Ahhh” in relaxation and peace.

Snow White With the Red Hair has that in spades.

Glittering oceans, noonday outings near gardens that seem real. Even the libraries within the castles make me want to find one for real and just sleep in it.

My husband and I caught ourselves pausing just to admire the artistry.
