Now I understand why shadow work can be difficult, and I am just on day 1! Shadow work is a concept created by psychologist Carl Jung. He believed that once we expose our shadowed selves, we should be able to work alongside it and integrate it in our lives, which helps to make us a more whole person.

For example, when confronted, you may run and hide. You always run and hide during a conflict or when you see an impending confrontation. Normally you are confident and well at ease, but your hidden self, that scared little child, pops out when you don’t even realize it.

Why?

Where does this behavior come from?

It’s time to do some shadow work.

A few weeks ago I went on Amazon and bought The Shadow Work Journal because it was trending at #2 on Amazon. Secondly, I really wanted to do the work of understanding what my shadow is and how to integrate it in my life.
