No, I Am Not Into Fantasy Fiction
Yep, I finished and loved The Empyrean Series though
My first foray into fantasy book reading, began in 2019 when my husband and I were browsing Barnes and Noble to pick out some new books, but I had a hard time because EVERY book caught my eye. Then, he pointed to An Ember in the Ashes and said, “This looks good. Look at that cover.” The cover was nice indeed, and the blurb was even better. We bought the book and since then I was hooked on the four-book series by Sabaa Tahir.
The series kept me excited, made me swoon, kept me up at night. Per usual with fantasy books, there was battle. Magic systems. Multiple points of views for narrative, and of course the books tend to be the size of bibles — and I don’t mind that one bit.
Since reading, An Ember in the Ashes, I found myself addicted to the following fantasy books:
- Legacy of Orisha series(Children of Blood and Bone, Children of Virtue and Vengeance, and Children of Anguish and Anarchy)
- Skin of the Sea(Skin of the Sea and Soul of the Deep)
- The Poppy War series(The Poppy War, The Dragon Republic, and The Burning God)
- The Daevabad Trilogy(City of Brass, Kingdom of Copper, and Empire of Gold)
- Hellnight Academy(Unshaken…
