My 2022 Reading Goals
I am ready this time and have a plan
For the last few years, my reading schedule has been….not optimal and definitely not what I am used to.
Every year I update my Reading Challenge on Goodreads and for some reason, I always check off Read 100 Books in a Year.
For the last few years, or several years, I have not read 100 books. In 2020 I read 20 out of 100.
You read that right.
20/100.
There may have been more than 20 books read, but I deactivated my Goodreads over a year ago because I was not using the app at all, just plain ol’ reading and then I rebooted it again. I have not logged in many books this year, but I’m pretty sure it was nowhere near 30 anyways.
This year, I am changing all of that and want to be held accountable, so here’s the plan and I pray it works.
I will aim for a lower benchmark. Instead of trying to read 100 books in a year I’ll be a bit more realistic and aim for something like 60 or 75.
I will break it down by month. To read 75 books in a year, that means at least 6 or 7 books each month should be read.
I will begin by reading fast paced novels with at least 200–350 pages in a genre I truly enjoy.
