Before I get started, I want to let you in on the irony of all this. $1,347 does not seem like much at all — and it isn’t. Out of 12 months and counting, this was all I made, and no one can survive on that in America. However it does solidify my credential as a writer who earns from writing and the troubling thing is, I hate reading and writing articles like this.

The way I write and the way I earn money on this platform is by IGNORING the How To Make X Amount of Dollars On X Platform. Or How To Earn One Million Views On X Platform type of stories.

You’ve read them.

I’ve read them.

We click on them because we get an adrenaline rush for how to get that next big payout, or claps, or comments, or traffic. We want to see if our thoughts resonate with people well enough to earn us some dough. More often than not —

It won’t work.

I totally understand. I click on those titles as well, because some top earners really do know what they are doing, but there are several other factors that can lead to success on this platform.
