Kuso: A Poem

Kuso is Japanese for daydream

I was on a planet with a sweltering moon and blueberry sun. Apollo’s dream touched the heavens then
touched down into my mushy red heart-
Made way for something tough
Pain is what brought me here
And pain is what died before death

This sudden darkness is null
This present darkness is saponified, cleaned and it places a bend in my walk

The angels sing closer to my ears
Haiku is a religion here and
Freedom tastes like nature
Has fruited herself on my tongue

There is yellow in my talk
A blazing fire in my gaze
A hop in my walk
A poem in my phrase

This is what I witnessed when you were my sun and I was your moon
