I’ve said basically the same as you when I commented on YouTube. People literally said they will not watch The Woman King because of whatever research they’ve done. It is embarrassing how we are sabotaging the amazing work of these women. A movie of this magnitude, should receive more love. Like you said, the atrocities of the slave trade is front and center. For the first time in a while, we have a film showing Africans role in slavery and the partnership with Europeans to sell Black bodies for wealth.
