I’ve Never Been Bored A Day In My Life
Extroverts always are though…*sigh*
As I was brushing my teeth today, I realized that I’ve never been truly bored all my life. This thought may have been sparked by hearing extroverts sigh in frustration that they have nothing to do. Staying inside, especially when the pandemic had hit in 2020, was understandably hard for many of them.
But not for me.
When I was a child, I was told I was the easiest to watch because I would pick a corner in my grandmother’s house, and quietly read a book and color. Soon after, the only thing I would bug her about would be which channel to leave the television set on. For hours, I would stay in her room, riveted by Tom & Jerry, X-Men and other cartoons of the time.
Fast forward to when I became a teen, I was reading more mature books. Harlequin novels to be exact. My grandmother used to have them in a basket by her bed. I loved the covers and the different, exotic places the women traveled in those stories. Eventually, I began to read V.C. Andrews’ novels about children being locked in attics or young women being the apple of the stepfather’s wandering eyes.
I went outside to play often, of course. Even back then I was shy, and a bit introverted, yet I made friends and often went to slumber parties. I was never bored or…
