I've never been a "fan" or "stan" of any popstar. I do understand my monies for their albums or product line is what affords them their life of luxury, but once we learn about the person behind the talent, it's usually weird. Social media has given fans too much access to celebs' lives. What happened to the days of not knowing what a pop star thought? We literally had to read a magazine or wait until an Oprah interview or something. These performers just wish to perform and go on about their day.

I'll say it again: I totally understand and support her decision. It makes sense. Heck, I'm not truly a people person myself and would never want a job where I am too exposed.

I was a huge fan of a certain star for a few years and when I saw what they stood for and their music began to change, I was disappointed. It's their craft so, whatever, but I wish we didn't know everyone's thoughts. I tune out social media alot because of this.
