On the very first page of the book, white people en masse, commit suicide…
When I first heard people talking about “that book about elephants in the sky”, I was perplexed and intrigued. Then I read a fellow Medium writer’s thoughts on it. Third: my sister, who is super busy being a mom and full time teacher, decided to take a break and gift me with the Sky Full of Elephants eBook so we can do our sister read along like we used to.
Being the dear sister and ultra bookworm that I am, I put down the historical fiction romance I was reading, to find out why white people were “offing” themselves all of a sudden in this literary work. What the heck did I just get into?
That is not the complete story though, and the mass suicide is only a tiny part…
