Interesting and on point article! I’ve noticed that even when it comes to singing, I can’t tell who is Black or not. When I first heard the artist Moonchild, I thought it was a Black Woman and her Black band… I was wrong. It’s a talented white artist from the UK. I was shocked!

Secondly, I don’t know if you’ve noticed but Black singers these days do not… how do I put this? … They do not sing OUT as much. I’m not not saying sing like a Gospel singer per se but they sound very low or breathy and low pitch. They certainly have great voices but it appears they sound the same or SZA-like? The white singers too.

Also side note: growing up, people thought I sounded “white”. In actuality I just spoke really proper. These days I’m told I sound… regular🤷🏽‍♀️
