I’m Ending My Shadow Work
Day 3- Is this truly helpful or is it of the devil?
I’ve ended my shadow work journey as of today. After only 3 days.
Quick, huh?
My reason behind quitting are twofold: It’s because of me personally and it’s because of the Holy Spirit .
Make no mistake though — understanding our shadows and learning how to exorcise them is still a work that needs to be done. In fact, I urge many people to do the work in healthy ways and with a trained counselor.
Without further ado, let’s get into it…
Child of the light, woman of shadows
I was reminded that we as children of Yah are children of the light. Integrating and calling “forth shadows” is not what we are to do. Why would we embrace anxiety and pain?
Yes, life has made us this way, but why embrace the dark side?
If we are to slay sin and slay the flesh, I am not trying to bond with it. Lots of yin and yang references are riddled throughout this practice as well.
However.
Before you think that shadow work is not necessary, I must caution you that understanding your own behaviors and journaling or seeking therapy is still needed. It hurts, but is…
