There is so much talk about the perfect age for marriage. However, I am someone who needs stats, facts, and common sense to believe anything, and I hope that the data I share with you will prove to you that no one can tell you when you’ve “hit the wall” or no longer available for lasting love.
Let’s look at the data
- According to Weddingwire.com, the average age for marriage is 32 years old.
- According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the average age for marriage in 1950 was 22.9 years for men and 20.3 for women.
- Average age for marriage in Florida is 34.
- Average age for marriage in Hawaii is 36.
- Average age for marriage in Nevada is a whopping 37 years old!
- As for my home state Virginia, the average age for marriage is 32.
In summation, the average age is 27–28 for men and 26–27 for women which seems pretty accurate to me because I got married to my husband at the age of 26 and he was 29.
