If Beetlejuice Was Your Favorite Childhood Movie, Read This First
The latest Beetlejuice movie was quite interesting
Disclaimer: I did my best to not give any spoilers away, this is just my opinion of the film after watching it this weekend.
The beloved comedy-horror classic Beetlejuice has been resurrected in theaters September 6th. This was a must see, because like most Millennials and Gen Xers, this is the remake of a childhood movie that will sure enough bring on the nostalgic feeling of Autumn, Halloween, and possibly our own memories of our teenage years.
Basic plot of ‘Beetlejuice’
If you’re unfamiliar with Beetlejuice, it’s about a “demon” from the netherworld who appears when his name is called three times. In the original movie, Lydia Deetz, portrayed by Winona Ryder, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Deetz.
Her mother is an abstract artist whose works are beautifully horrific, and they live in a house that actually belongs to Barbara and Adam, a recently deceased couple who haunt the attic. When Barbara and Adam attempt to scare the Deetz family away to reclaim their home, they encounter Beetlejuice and simultaneously form a bond with Lydia.
