I Worked Out Last Summer With My Husband

And these were my results

Disclaimer: According to my doctor I can’t do any strenuous workouts (or just 30 minutes), and she suggested the Mediterranean diet. I have severe anemia and must take ferrous gluconate daily with a daily vitamin.

Before summer 2021 hit, I was merely doing atomic habits of five-minute Pilates arms workouts and that’s it. It mentally prepared me for more.

It made me feel accomplished, but to truly meet my goals I had a conversation with my husband who, thankfully is a person who enjoys fitness and keeps his body in great shape.

Many times, he would wake up at 5:45 a.m. and ask me to join him and each day I’d say “Nope. Too early.”

I’m not a morning person. I am actually a 9 a.m. person on a good day, and 10a.m. or later gal, on a bad day.

Nevertheless, as I watched him work out alone, I began to reflect on the good that fitness could do for me.

So, one day I just joined in. “Okay, what would you have me do?” I was dressed in some tight black gear, my purple hair and black headband. Well, at least I had the right gear. My black shirt had the words Be Beautiful in fancy white letters across the front.

Motivation.
