After watching, commenting, and writing articles on the Black experience and receiving praises and condemnation for it, I finally decided to take a break from such a draining task and went back to my first love: Engaging in book vlogs and travel vlogs.

At first, the task was to watch ZERO social media, but I had to make things realistic. I love being on social media, I just have to control what I see. This was already a spontaneous idea, so keeping things realistic was the key.

On Monday, I caught a few prank posts on Instagram that were funny or one or two social commentaries dealing with race and politics. I couldn’t help clicking on it. No big deal, my blood pressure did not skyrocket and I did not feel any stress…

Yet.

Tuesday and Wednesday were not so bad. I watched videos about Chinese apartments (which are way more affordable than American apartments by the way), but it was refreshing to look at the simple yet quiet life of living in certain parts of Asia.

I had the pleasure of watching Kemushi Chan’s latest videos and was shocked to learn she is now a mommy. I have always been a fan of her videos about Japan life and learning the language.
